MICHAEL Owen will be handed his first Three Lions start since rupturing his
cruciate ligaments at last summer's World Cup.
The 27-year-old Newcastle United striker has been named in Steve McClaren's
starting line-up for the England 'B' friendly with Albania at Burnley's Turf
Moor on Friday night.
Owen will partner Man Utd's Alan Smith in attack, with former Magpie
Jermaine Jenas also included.
Toon pair Steven Taylor and Kieron Dyer are also in the squad but do not
start the game against the Eastern Europeans.
England 'B' team: Scott Carson, Phil Neville, Ledley King, Michael Dawson,
Gareth Barry, David Bentley, Nicky Shorey, Jermaine Jenas, Aaron Lennon,
