Mix ups and confusions
After our usual morning routines, still feeling rather sleepy, we waited for
the bus. Strange it was late today. We waited and waited, but it did not
arrive. On enquiry, we found that the bus wasn’t booked for today.
Disappointed and stressed for waiting so long, there was a strange mood
within the team. We were told that transport was arranged for the rest of
the week until the official Deaflympics transport was provided. This wasn’t
going to happen until 2 days later, so we were not sure why the bus wasn’t
booked. We had to book 2 taxis to take us training.
“Sorry about this, but we have got to be positive. Don’t let this affect
your focus and determination. Be strong, be positive, never negative! This
Deaflympics is only once in a lifetime opportunity. Grab it!“; came the
speech from Team Manager Brian Kokoruwe. Everyone started to rise to the
occasion.
