1. The Orioles placed LHP Erik Bedard on the 60-day disabled list with a
strained muscle in his right rib cage and purchased the contract of RHP
Victor Zambrano from Pittsburgh.
2. Sunday's defeat dropped the Orioles back to a season high-tying 20 games
under .500. They have lost 16 of 19 and are assured a 10th straight
non-winning season. ... Baltimore fell to 11-28 in one-run games.
3. Orioles manager Dave Trembley announced his starting rotation for a
three-game series with Los Angeles starting Tuesday: Victor Santos, Daniel
Cabrera and Jon Leicester. Santos will be making his Orioles debut and
Leicester will be making his third major league start.
