Pacers Don't Have Timetable For Dunleavy's Return
Pacers coach Jim O'Brien caused a stir on Tuesday when he suggested that Mike
Dunleavy could be ready for the start of the 2009-10 season.
However, the team still lacks a solid timetable for the forward's return
following knee surgery.
"We are pleased with how Mike is progressing," Pacers general manager David
Morway told RealGM's Andrew Perna via text message on Wednesday. "There is no
timetable regarding his return at this point."
Shortly after Dunleavy's surgery in March, the Pacers announced that they
weren't expecting him to return until the second half of the upcoming season.
"I've changed my view point to a pessimistic one from a standpoint of him
being ready in the middle of the season to one that I'm hoping he'll be ready
to go for game one," O'Brien told the Indianapolis Star of Dunleavy earlier
this week.
