One of the more intriguing stories to come out of the Phoenix Suns' 1992-93 season was that of rookie forward Richard Dumas. Originally drafted in the second round of the 1991 draft, Dumas was suspended for the 1991-92 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy, but returned and became a major contributor to the Suns' 1993 playoff drive. 92-93球季太陽隊其中一個情節複雜的故事便是當年的新人前鋒Richard Dumas。他原先於 91年選秀第二輪被選上，卻因為違反聯盟禁藥條例使得他在91-92的球季被禁賽，而歸隊後便成為球隊93年季後賽的主要貢獻者之一。 Unfortunately, the success of his rookie season did not continue as Dumas check himself into rehab the following summer. I won't tell you what we were talking about, but he had faith in me and I knew that he was The Man. I understood that already. But Chuck made you feel comfortable going out there, because when he went out there he did go to work. He came to work every night and that's one thing I appreciated about him. His thing was, "I will go to work, let's go." That's all he was. He was all business. He would joke and he would have his so-called scuffles with the mascots and stuff, but that was Chuck. He liked to be in the media and I appreciated that, because I didn't really like to be in the media.
