Wallace agreed to a $10 million buyout of his contract, which would have paid him $14 million this season, and the Suns received the final paperwork today. The savings for the Suns is doubled because of the dollar-for-dollar luxury tax with the Suns still carrying a payroll that projects to exceed the $69.9 million luxury tax threshold next season. Wallace, 34, was acquired from Cleveland with Sasha Pavlovic last month in exchange for Shaquille O'Neal. The Suns made the deal for financial reasons and could wind up saving $18 million as a result of the trade if Pavlovic is waived. Pavlovic, with only $1.5 million of his $4.95 million salary guaranteed, could also be an attractive trade chip for Phoenix. Wallace was expected to take a buyout and was considering retirement after last season, his least productive one with leg and calf injuries. The Suns also made Channing Frye's deal official. Frye will be introduced at a Tuesday evening news conference after accepting a two-year, $4.07 million contract with a second-year player option. It is the equivalent of a biennial exception but will be used out of the Suns' midlevel exception, along with Grant Hill's $3 million salary for next season. 太陽正式買斷大班，達成10M買斷的協議，而太陽藉此省了8M.大班可能會選擇退休.
