Aaron Brooks is not shy about shooting. He took 105 shots in 204 minutes this
month with Houston.

But in his Suns debut, he treaded lightly. After arriving in Indianapolis at
3 p.m. Saturday, Brooks had no more than some chats, a DVD playbook and a

four to eight with a quick drive and an assist to Jared Dudley. Brooks'
fourth-quarter stint did not last as long. The reserves let a 10-point lead
dwindle to three in four minutes, prompting coach Alvin Gentry to pull
Brooks, Hakim Warrick and Mickael Pietrus and reinsert Steve Nash, Channing
Frye and Grant Hill.

"It felt good," Brooks said. "The offense is great. I like the open style of
getting up and down. It was fun to watch, too.

"I just took what was given, trying to get my feet wet a little bit. This is
a process, and I'm learning."

Dudley went 49 games without a dunk this season but slammed Sunday for the
fourth time in eight games. Sunday's jam came when he got a steal on the wing
and raced out for a painful dunk.

"I think I pulled it on the rim," said Dudley, who left the game for back
