A lot has been said about the Suns' first-round draft pick,
Kendall Marshall: He's not fast enough, his jump shot is non-existent,
and he's a liability on defense.

Joining an organization that just lost one of the better point guards
in NBA history - Steve Nash went to the Los Angeles Lakers in a
sign-and-trade deal last week - doesn't help, either.

"He was one of the best to ever do it, I think," Marshall said.
"If I was able to learn from him, that would have been a great
experience. But at the same time he had to what's best for him,
and I respect that."

The Nash era is over for the Suns, and on Tuesday night fans will
get to see what Marshall, the 13th overall pick in the draft, will
bring to the team.

"Great, great guy, just really solid, which we saw while he was at
North Carolina," Suns General Manager Lance Blanks said of Marshall.
"He's more than prepared for this environment given the way he was
raised and the experiences he's had his whole life."

Lance Blanks 這樣談論 Marshall：

In the NBA, Marshall will see an increase in speed, physicality and
number of games, but he is aware of the changes and knows he has to
make strides to succeed at this level.
在 NBA 當中， Marshall 會看到更快、更多碰撞也更多比賽的球季，不過他
對這已有準備，也知道自己在這樣的層級中正在逐漸進步。
"The main thing is my body; I feel like you have to be able to play 82 games," Marshall said.
「最重要的就是我的身體了，我覺得我必須準備好要迎接 82 場比賽的洗禮。」
"You have to be able to deal with the physicality that's going to be
a lot different than it was in college, fighting through screens bringing
the ball up the court with a forearm in your back, there's a lot of things
physically that I'm going to have to adjust to."
「你必須去適應和大學時代有許多不同的肌肉碰撞強度，在你試圖把球運過半場
的時候背後跟著一支前臂的搏鬥，有許多這方面的事情是我必須要去學習的。」
Said Blanks: "He just needs the repetitions on the floor to see the patterns
and be in NBA situations. It's going to take a little bit of time."
Blanks 說：

For now, Marshall just wants to focus on putting on a good show in
the summer league and letting his game do the talking.

"I'm ready to get out there and win a couple games and get to know my
teammates and see some success."
