David Murphy was out of the Texas lineup again on Saturday, but Washington
said it wasn't due to his swollen right ring finger. He just wanted to sit
him against two left-handed pitchers -- Jarrod Washburn and Bedard -- this
weekend. Nelson Cruz was in the lineup for the second consecutive day after
sitting the previous three. ... Cruz accepted an invitation to compete in
Monday's Home Run Derby. ... Washington said Vicente Padilla will likely get
the start for the Rangers in their first game back from the All-Star break
against Minnesota on Friday. ... Injured pitcher Matt Harrison threw a
bullpen session on Saturday. He'll throw another in Arizona on Monday, then
will likely throw live batting practice on Thursday.
