這篇作者認為Van Gundy(Houston)、Avery Johnson(Dallas)、Sam Mitchell(Raptors)、 Jerry Sloan(Utah)、Scott Skiles(Chicago)五位教頭是最熱門人選。如果Van Gundy贏得Coach of the year，也如許多球迷所願被Fire，我想大概是當年贏得最佳教練而被炒的第一人 :P 這五位教練贏得最佳教練，我都覺得實至名歸，如果是我，我會投給Avery Johnson和 Van Gundy。尤其Van Gundy在Yao和TMAC缺賽這麼多場，仍能贏得50勝以上戰績，真的很不容易。很多人會批評他不用Billy、Novak，而寧願用Lucas，我是認為用Lucas到沒太大影響，畢竟他上場時間很短，而他也證明自己不是個適合的Backup PG，至於Billy和Novak都沒足夠實力去贏得上場時間，一個不會投外線，另一個根本還不適應NBA。至於Bonzi事件，我覺得Van Gundy有部分責任，但主要責任還是在Bonzi自己本身。我比較好奇的是球迷們是希望我們教練是能贏得戰績的教練?還是善於溝通協調的教練，亦或希望教練是個"完人"? 用兵保守，不擅於進攻戰術，也是很多人所詬病的，我是覺得如果在"季賽"用八人輪替是真的太操主力了，但到了季後賽，很多球隊都曾用過八人輪替而最終贏得冠軍，八人輪替是能接受的調度，而且我們也拿不出第九人出來 :P 至於進攻部份，他確實沒有如防守那樣出色，也許請個善於規劃進攻戰術的助理教練會比較好。不管如何，Van Gundy今年再次帶領火箭重返50勝，希望他贏得最佳教練，也帶領火箭在季後賽有好的表現。 http://www.nba.com/features/coach_070411.html SECAUCUS, N.J., April 12 -- There are two roads you can take when it comes to voting for the Coach of the Year. His greatest accomplishment is instilling the confidence needed to walk out onto the court and think, "We're supposed to win this game, we're going to win this game," before the ball is even tipped. And, of course, x-factors like having a core of young players versus older vets , or dealing with injuries to star players can gain brownie points for a coach in either scenario.
