We all know Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich's reputation for being a grouch.
You see it on the sidelines and especially in interviews, but now I must come
clean about a secret I've held onto for almost 25 years… Pop's got a heart
as big as his coaching resume.

Coach Pop was honored Tuesday at a big charity luncheon by the San Antonio
Food Bank. It’s the kind of event where there are usually lots of cameras
and reporters to publicize the cause.
But not Tuesday. No media allowed.
The reason? Because they honored Pop and he wants no part of anything that
draws attention to him.

For over a decade Pop has been a driving force behindthe San Antonio Food Bank.
He has given huge financial gifts and helped to raise millions to feed over
58,000 San Antonians a day.
Did you know one in four San Antonians will benefit from the Food Bank at
some point this year?
So Coach Pop was honored by Eric Cooper and the Food Bank, and it was
staggering to see how many people he has touched by being an advocate to
end San Antonio hunger.
其實這十多年來，Pop 都是「聖城食物銀行」背後的推手
他自己掏了大把銀子，還幫忙勸募了數以百萬計的美元
每天都有超過五萬八千的聖城人因此不再餓肚子
你知道今年每四個聖城人，就有一個受惠於食物銀行嗎？
為此 Pop 在餐會上接受了聖城食物銀行總裁 Eric Cooper 的表揚
我很驚訝，竟然這麼多人受到 Pop 的感動
感動於他長期致力於讓鄉親不再挨餓
I watched Coach Pop as they played a video tribute to him -- and I loved it.
The guy who loves to make reporters uncomfortable was squirming in his seat
because he doesn't like attention and he doesn't want his secret out.
His secret? That he's exactly what he's called his team sometimes. Pop
is soft – for the people of San Antonio, their children, the hungry and
those in need.
