If I got minutes, 18 minutes a game, you know that team was very average. It wasn't a good record, but we were building some good habits. That was my total focus. I wasn't guaranteed the job, but I knew if we worked from the first day building great habits with everything we did, the wins would shape up. Our guys worked. I think defensively we made a commitment over the summer. The guys are committed to doing it every day. I just know he has the chance to be a really special player. He has the athletic ability, the work ethic and he's coachable. He loves the gym. He's always in the gym. The kid is 20 years old. We liked his unselfish demeanor. He's an unselfish player who can score. 回答：我們認為Harden能夠帶來球隊需要的東西：一個出色的進攻組織者，而且具有潛力。他現在只有20歲，我們喜歡他無私的球風。他不自私，而且有得分能力。 Q How often do you count your blessings that you're in the right place at the right time with this group? 問題：你會經常慶幸你現在在一隻優秀的球隊裡發揮自己的能力嗎？ A Know what? That's been true for me since high school. I've been blessed to be in some incredible positions to play the game I love and coach the game I love. 回答：你知道嗎，我從高中以來就很知足了。我喜歡打球，我也喜歡教球，而我對自己能夠擔任自己想不到的位置非常感恩。 Q How does Russell Westbrook need to be like you as a point guard? 問題：你認為Russ應該打的更像以前的你嗎？ A Zero ways. If that's the case, we wouldn't be winning right now. I was very average. Everything I had, I left it on the court. There wasn't one time I went home and wished I would have played harder. Not one practice, not one shootaround. I don't want to talk to this team about being young. The success we've had ... really, in the big picture, we're just a few games over .500. If we want to get where we want to go -- if we want to win big -- we have to keep getting better. Kevin has to get better, Russell Westbrook has to get better.
