The Thunder announced Thursday that they have begun negotiating naming rights
for the Ford Center with potential new partners.
The original naming rights agreement came in 2001, when the Oklahoma Ford
Dealers agreed to pay $8.1 million over 15 years.
That contract allowed an NBA franchise to terminate the existing naming rights
agreement if a team came to Oklahoma City.
The Thunder had discussions with the Oklahoma Ford Dealers, but a new agreement
could not be reached.
雷霆週四宣佈正尋找合作夥伴討論Ford Center的新名字。
原來的球場冠名權合約是2001年簽署的，15年合約，一年支付8.1M，
不過這合約有一特別條款：如果有NBA球隊進駐OKC，該NBA球隊有權中止現行合約。
雷霆已經與擁有冠名權的Oklahoma Ford Dealers進行協商過，不過雙方沒有共識。
