The Key to Success
Hey Guys,
I hope you all are well! I have great news for you all so I will be filling
you all in on what I have been doing for the past week. I can't wait to get
back to Nail School, but in the meantime I have been focusing on a much more
important school in my life. I just opened my second school in Kenya called
The Serena Williams Secondary School. The new school is in a Village called
Wee (pronounced Way) and it is located in a place called Matiliku, (pronounce
Mat-til-ee-coo). It is 90 miles south of Nairobi and 18 miles from the first
Serena Williams Secondary at Matooni Village. There is a population of over
30,000 in the area and the new Secondary School will become the main center
for second level education. The new Serena Williams Secondary School has five
classrooms, with desks, solar power, HP computers, printers, and the
Internet. Also, there are new bathrooms for boys, girls and teachers. The
school will cater to about 250 /300 students of boys and girls ages ranging
from 15 to 18 years old. The Wee Village also has about 50 deaf children and
the school is providing a classroom, desks, computers, etc. for them. Before
the school was built, most of these kids were using a stick and dirt to learn
on.

但同時我也把注意力集中在另一間我的人生中更重要的學校
我剛剛在Kenya開了第二間學校 這個學校開在一個叫做Wee小鎮
他屬於Matiliku這個地方 距離首都Nairobi有九十里
距離我在Matooni的第一間學校十八里 這地方的人口約有三萬
這間學校會在這個地方成為次級的教育中心
有五間教室 桌子 太陽能發電 電腦 印表機 網路
還有給男孩.女孩.老師們的浴室 這間學校將會招約250-300個15-18歲的學生
這裡還有50個聾啞學生 也會為他們提供教室等設備
在這裡有學校之前 大多數孩子都用樹枝跟泥土來學習
It is so inspiring to see how eager they are to learn and better themselves.
There is no greater victory than watching the reaction of the kids we get to
help. My parents always said, "that education is the key role in achieving
great things in life." The people of Kenya have been so amazing to us! We
rode on a helicopter from Nairobi to the town of Wee. It was incredible to
see the hundreds of children gathered around waiting for the school to open.
The various tribes from the Wee Village greeted us with beautiful songs and
dances. One of the coolest parts was joining the women in a dance and being
dressed in traditional clothing. Later in the day, I even got to teach a
class. I taught about dreams and achieving your goals. Another cool highlight
was petting a real life cheetah! It was kind of scary, but really cool! No
doubt, this school has been one of the biggest goals I have ever accomplished.

Kenya的人們都對我們很好 我坐直升機從Nairobi到Wee
看到這麼多孩子聚集在這裡等學校的開幕太不可思議了
當地的居民用傳統音樂舞蹈歡迎我們
最酷的經驗之一是跟他們一起跳舞 穿上傳統服飾
稍晚我還上了課 我敎他們關於夢想和如何達到目標
另外一個亮點是怎麼去摸真正的豹! 有點可怕但是真的酷斃了
毫無疑問的 這間學校是我目前所達成最重大的目標之一
