Fabio Liverani confirms he is close to sealing a move to Fiorentina, while
Lazio teammate Ousmane Dabo heads for Manchester City.

“I am happy to hear that the Fiorentina fans already consider me one of
their own,” said the midfielder who is out of contract in the summer.

like the Viola is a good feeling. They have such passionate fans, a bit like
those in Rome. Nonetheless, let’s wait until the end of the season to make a

The 30-year-old Italian international has impressed with the Biancocelesti
this term, but was unable to reach an agreement to extend his contract.

He has been hotly linked to Fiorentina for several months and it looks as if
an official move is only waiting for the paperwork to be completed.

Liverani was speaking from the Borghesiana training ground, where he has
earned his first Italy call-up since a 1-0 win over Morocco in September 2001.
