The Bari-born striker seems near to ending his stint at Real Madrid but has not yet found a new club, despite the Spanish giants’ availability to let the player leave immediately. A move to Florence could have been on the cards, however, if they didn’t already have the likes of Luca Toni and Adrian Mutu at the club. “We have basically ended our market moves, I can’t see us making any signings before the window shuts,” said Corvino on Thursday. “Cassano? If we didn’t have enough players in our offensive department I would have already signed him. “There are also other players who could make the difference on the pitch, but they are not easy to net because of their contracts.” Fiorentina are set to renew the contracts of Dario Dainelli and Martin Jorgensen, while goalkeeper Bogdan Lobont is set to join Dinamo Bucharest. “He asked us to return to Bucharest for several reasons, not only associated to football. But he would have been reserve to Sebastien Frey for the next three and a half years. “The deal has not been finalised yet, there are still a few details to clarify between the clubs,” concluded Corvino.
