Could do nothing on the three goals that beat him. Cassetti - 4.5: Strange decision by Spalletti to prefer Cassetti to Motta, and the veteran didn't justify this choice as he gifted the ball to Diego in the build-up to the first goal. Burdisso - 5.5: Tactically very suspect at times, as he was in his Inter days, but Burdisso did perform one superb tackle to prevent an almost certain Iaquinta goal. Mexes - 5.5: Started imperiously, but clearly doesn't possess an understanding with Burdisso just yet. Was powerless to stop Diego on the second goal. Riise - 5.5: Reasonably solid down the left hand side, but he was taken on by Diego for the Brazilian's first goal. Pizarro - 6.5: Quick thinking led to De Rossi's equaliser, Pizarro was neat and tidy but he was occasionally overpowered by Felipe Melo. De Rossi - 7.5: Stunning goal that got Roma back into the game, De Rossi was extremely fired up this evening. Though, he tired towards the end and allowed Felipe Melo to surge through in injury time. Taddei - 6: Would have hoped to test De Ceglie more than he did in the first half. Hooked at half time for Tonetto. Perrotta - 6: Ran his heart out, but is quite clearly not the same effective player he was a few years ago when he won the World Cup. Menez - 7: Starved of the ball during spells but looked dangerous every time he got it, slipping Totti clean through on goal and firing wide in the second half. Totti - 7: Far too isolated until the introduction of Vucinic, but still could have scored twice as he hit the post and was denied by a masterful Buffon save. Subs Tonetto - 6: Added little quality to the Roma side, but did a job. Vucinic - 6.5: Roma looked far more dangerous after he came on.
