Julio Sergio: 7.5 - Made some great saves including one excellent reaction
stop from Cavani in the first half. Only beaten by a penalty in another fine
performance.
Motta: 8 - One of his best games in a Roma shirt. He rampaged down the right
hand side to give his team another option and put in a number of dangerous
crosses.
Burdisso: 6.5 - Mopped up the loose balls in the hosts' penalty area and
tried to keep Cavani and Miccoli quiet.
Juan: 6 - Not as authoritative as he has been previously, with some of his
defensive headers particularly weak, but it was a solid enough performance.
Riise: 7 - He was caught out of position on several occasions in defence, but
scored his third goal in four games with a late strike.
Pizarro: 7.5 - He was the metronome in the Roma midfield as he held onto the
ball and made sure his side kept possession. Set up the fourth goal with an
excellent delivery.
De Rossi: 8 - Ran the show from the middle of the pitch, picking out
inch-perfect passes and winning the ball back with some well-timed tackles.
Taddei: 7 - Gave Roma genuine width on the left hand side and always
threatened when he cut inside.
Brighi: 8.5 - He opened the scoring with a deflected volley, and he
unselfishly set up Baptista for the second goal before doubling his own tally
with a fine shot from 20 yards.
Vucinic: 6.5 - Frustrating evening as he worked hard to get into the
positions to score goals but passed them up with poor finishing.
Totti: 7 - He always looking to create something out of nothing and showed
clever thinking to take a quick corner that resulted in the goal. Taken off
at half-time.
Substitutes
Julio Baptista: 6.5 - He won't score many easier goals than tonight as Brighi
did the hard work for him, but he played hard for his team.
Menez: 6 - Given 25 minutes on the pitch but didn't really take full
opportunity to show what he can do.
