今年International Signing Period開跑 很快就簽了兩個 用了1.7M/$1,926,100 bonus pools 14.Jesus Lopez SS S/R Nicaragua ($950,000) http://www.ibabuzz.com/athletics/2013/07/02/as-use-international-signings-to-add-two-shortstops/ http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=304&f=2062&t=11675242&p=3 BA: A lot of teams don’t scout Nicaragua thoroughly, so it’s harder for top players there to get the same attention as a player with comparable talent from the Dominican Republic. That doesn’t stop teams from pursuing a high-end Nicaraguan prospect like Cheslor Cuthbert, who signed with the Royals for $1.35 million, but it certainly hampers a player’s market. In the case of Lopez, a player who stands out more for his performance in games than his physical attributes, that only makes it more difficult because he won’t immediately jump out in a showcase environment. Lopez excels at hitting. He has been switch-hitting for about a year, and some scouts already like his lefty stroke better than his natural righthanded swing. He has a clean, compact swing with good bat path and instincts, and some scouts regard him as one of the top hitters in Latin America. He has gap power now and projects to hit 10-15 home runs a year eventually. He has international experience as well, playing for the Nicaraguan team that hosted the 14U Pan American Championship in 2010. Lopez has good body control, but he’s a below-average runner without a quick first step or much athleticism, so shortstop probably isn’t an option. His arm is also a little below average, so second base seems like his most likely option. Lopez, who trains with former scout Wilfredo Blanco, has a lot of similarities to Alberto Callaspo. Sources believe the Astros are his most likely landing spot. ------------------ 17.Carlos Hiciano SS R/R Dominican Republic($750,000) mlb.com http://wapc.mlb.com/play/?content_id=28181645&c_id=mlb&topic_id=vtp_top_50 Scouting Grades* (present/future): Hit: 4/5 | Power: 3/4 | Run: 6/6 | Arm: 5/6 | Field: 4/5 A high-energy infielder with good feet and a good throwing action on defense, Hiciano ranks among the top shortstops on the international market this year. He has an accurate arm and it's slightly above average strength-wise, but he's been prone to fielding and throwing errors at times. At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, scouts like his strength potential and believe he has the speed to be an above-average baserunner in the future. They also love his athleticism along with the idea of moving him to third base or the outfield in the future if necessary. On offense, Hiciano has good bat speed and a solid approach with compact swing that plays particularly well in games. He was among the top prospects in the Dominican Prospect League (DPL) this year and was part of their elite travel squad that played exhibition games in Florida this spring. dplbaseball.com http://dplbaseball.com/scouts-corner/carlos-hiciano-ss-2013/ Carlos Hiciano-SS R/R 6’2〃 DOB 10-29-96 San Francisco de Macoris DR Trainer: Decarte Corporan Hiciano has a well proportioned body with muscular tone, he is one of the most athletic players in the 2013 class; he’s a plus runner (6.5-6.6) 60 yard dash he posses plus arm strength and has a noticeable high level of athleticism. The 16 year old has advanced bat speed for his age and a good approach at the plate; he is often inside the ball and can hit the ball gap to gap with occasional power. Hiciano is raw defensively and is still learning how to play the short stop position; his hands are fair and he flashes solid range; Due to his size and physical projection he is likely to move to third-base or center-field in the future. Hiciano has the athleticism and tools needed to be an impact player at the Major League level no matter where he ends up defensively. Molina has surpassed Hiciano, who is still one of the top prospects in the Dominican Prospect League. Hiciano has plus- plus speed, a strong arm and a broad, projectable frame. Shortstop doesn’t seem to come naturally to him, as he doesn’t have true infield actions, but he has the speed, athleticism and arm strength to stay at a premium position in center field. Hiciano’s hitting mechanics can be inconsistent, but scouts who like him have seen him hit in games with doubles power. He has squared up balls with authority against live pitching in front of some executives, which has helped his stock with certain teams. With his tall, lean frame, he has the projection to add strength and hit for more power down the road. Other teams have linked Hiciano to the Athletics as a possible landing spot. -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 59.120.10.253
