Christian Vieri won't be able to play for new club Atalanta
until February after undergoing knee surgery this afternoon.
今天下午動完刀了，二月前無法為新東家出賽。
The Italian international was forced to go under the knife yet again
after failing to recover from a knee problem which ruled him out of
the 2006 World Cup.
Reports last week suggested that the veteran needed fresh surgery
and a minor procedure was carried out this afternoon.
Vieri, who joined the Bergamo club after scrapping his Sampdoria deal
just weeks after arriving, will start his new rehabilitation programme
on Tuesday.
Atalanta boss Stefano Colantuono was hoping to have the much-travelled
attacker at his disposal immediately after Christmas.
