Coppa: Inter open round

The schedule for the two-legged Coppa Italia quarter-finals
was released by the Lega Calcio on Friday.
The venues had already been decided earlier this week,
but the Lega met with RAI to discuss the TV schedule and then
revealed the detailed calendar and the exact kick-off time for each match.
The first legs will be played on January 9, 10 and 11 starting
with Inter's trip to Empoli, whereas the return matches
will take place on January 17 and 18.
The 2006 winners are on course for their third straight title and
hope to earn a spot in the semi-finals against the winners of the tie
between Sampdoria and Chievo.
The last first leg will be played by Milan, who will host Arezzo –
the last remaining Serie B side in contention –
at the San Siro on January 11.

Tuesday, January 9
Empoli - Inter 20:00
Wednesday, January 10
Sampdoria - Chievo 19:30
Roma - Parma 20:00
Thursday, January 11
Milan - Arezzo 20:00
Last 16 second legs
Wednesday, January 17
Chievo - Sampdoria 14:00
Parma - Roma 16:30
Inter - Empoli 20:00
Thursday, January 18
Arezzo - Milan 20:00
