The fans won out over the players, as Messina relented this evening
and gave boss Bruno Giordano the chop.
Messina的主帥保衛戰，球迷擊敗了球員。
The Coach was set to be fired after Sunday's 2-1 home defeat
to Ascoli but, as with Livorno a fortnight ago, the squad backed him
and convinced the club to hold back.
Giordano本在週日主場１－２敗給 Ascoli之後就要被炒了，
但是就像兩週前的 Livorno一樣，球員力挺主教練說服球會讓他留任。
However, the supporters were firmly against Giordano's stay and
staged several protests at the Sicilian training ground over
the past couple of days.
然而球迷堅決反對 Giordano留任，過去幾天在球隊集訓地多次進行抗議。
It's claimed there was a meeting between the chiefs of
the Ultra' hard-line fans and President Pietro Franza.
據稱極端球迷團體的領袖與主席 Pietro Franza就此會談。
The supporters pledged not to attend any away games
until Giordano was removed from his post.
球迷誓言在 Giordano離職前不會出席任何客場比賽。
The new Coach will be ex-Lecce and Fiorentina boss Alberto Cavasin,
who has signed a contract until June 30, 2007 with an option to extend
for another season.
繼任者是前 Lecce、Fiorentina主教練 Alberto Cavasin。
Meanwhile, there are reports emerging this evening that Reggina
have sold goalkeeper Ivan Pelizzoli to Lokomotiv Moscow for ￡2.3m.
