Ruggeri blasts ‘traitor’ Colantuono

Atalanta chief Ivan Ruggeri has slammed Coach Stefano Colantuono
for joining Palermo. “I feel betrayed,” he said.
The tactician had extended his contract with the Bergamaschi until 2009
during the winter months, but he jumped ship after Rosanero President
Maurizio Zamparini made him an offer.
“I definitely feel betrayed by Colantuono,” moaned Ruggeri to Sky Italia.
Ruggeri 說：「我當然會覺得被 Colantuono 背叛了。」
“I thought I had found a Coach who would stay for many years to come,
instead he changed his mind, out of the blue.
「我以為我找到一位願意帶領球隊幾年的教練，結果他卻意外變心了。」
“The fact that I had him sign a contract two or three months ago
means that I believed in him and that I had a very clear project.
Then things went as they did.
「事實上我兩、三個月前就要他續約，表示我相信他，
而且也有非常明確的計畫，事情也是如此進展的。」
“Unfortunately, I guess success must have gone to someone's head...”
「不幸的是，我猜成功讓某人沖昏了頭。」
Colantuono enjoyed a dream first season in the top flight
after guiding the side to eighth place in the standings.
Colantuono 享受了在頂級聯賽夢幻般的第一個賽季，帶領 Atalanta 拿下第八名。
Ruggeri is now concentrating on finding a new man at the helm
and Albinoleffe boss Emiliano Mondonico is a suggestion after
his previous spells in Bergamo.
Ruggeri 現在要專心找尋新任主教練了，
Albinoleffe 主教練 Mondonico 可能接任，他在 Atalanta 有過實績。
“He is a great Coach,” admitted Ruggeri. “I have worked with him
twice in the past, when I was Vice-President and then President.
Ruggeri 說：「他是個了不起的教練，我以前跟他共事過兩次，
一次是我擔任副主席的時候，一次是當主席的時候。」
“He has always managed to do well wherever he has gone.
We are evaluating this possibility.”
「無論到哪裡他總是有不錯的表現，我們正在衡量這件事的可能性。」
