Opara Chelsea-bound

Premiership champions Chelsea have usurped Peterborough United's plans to
sign Cheshunt striker Lloyd Opara.
Posh boss Steve Bleasdale was planning to take the former Colchester
United, Cambridge United and Swindon Town hit-man on loan after Opara had
impressed the League Two club during a trial spell this week.
However, the 22-year-old has been handed the chance of a run-out with the
Chelsea reserve side - much to the disappointment of London Road chief
Bleasdale.
"Lloyd has done well in training this week and we were set to sign him on
Wednesday, but Chelsea want him to go there for a trial period, so we
can't stand in his way," Bleasdale told Peterborough's official website.
"I suppose we have been pipped to a player by Chelsea and I don't think we
could compete with them financially, but he is going there on trial.
"Lloyd has said how much he enjoyed training with us, so if it doesn't
work out at Chelsea, then maybe he can return here. We certainly wanted to
sign him until the end of the season."
The move to Stamford Bridge is a far cry from previous trial spells for
Opara this season, with the youngster having had run-outs with fellow
League Two clubs Barnet and Leyton Orient.

Opara staying focused

Cheshunt striker Lloyd Opara says he is only thinking about his first
day's training with Premiership champions Chelsea. The 22-year-old told
Sky Sports News that his focus is on impressing the West London club in
training on Friday morning.
他只期待第一天的訓練情況而已，其他的不多想。
"I'm not really thinking about it, I'm trying to soak in the experience,
It's wonderful to be here training with Chelsea from non-league Cheshunt,
I think it's quality.
能從業餘聯賽到英超試訓，這就是實力。
"From what I understood, he (McGiven) said he watched me in a few games
and thought I might have something to bring to the club. Just him saying
that alone is a big compliment to me."
是預備隊教練麥克基文發現的。
Opara added that he has not thought about trying to win a contract with
The Blues.
還沒想到是否簽約的事
"To be honest, I haven't really thought of anything like that, I'm still
in a world of my own - thinking how I got invited to play for Chelsea. I'm
just enjoying the experience of being here, that's all."
主要是來增加經驗的啦，哈哈。
Opara's decision to take a trial at Chelsea came to the disappointment of
League Two side Peterborough United, as the London Road side were set to
sign the goalscorer on loan this week.
不過彼得堡很失望，快到手的鴨子被別人抓去驗貨。
"I trained a couple of times at Peterborough and it is a fantastic club,
but I couldn't really say no to Chelsea. Being The Premiership and the
status of the club, I had to come and train down here for a while and see
what happens.
彼得堡是不錯啦，但怎麼可以拒絕卻爾西呢。
"All I'm concentrating on is stepping on the training ground and doing all
I can do and impressing the people I need to impress. The lads have been
very welcoming and quality to me, they've made me feel welcome."
要趕快表現才行，卻爾西的人都很好。
Opara admitted to not having an agent at present, though he was not
concerned about being without representation.
目前沒有經紀人。
"I haven't got an agent at the moment, I'm just trying to play football,
At the moment, I'm just taking one step at a time, trying to get through
today, let alone think of tomorrow.
踢球就好啦，經紀人先閃邊去。
"We'll see what end result will be after that. If they tell me yes or no,
I'll take it from there."
