The summer signing was part of the Brazil side that beat Iran 3-0 in a friendly in Abu Dhabi. It was the first full international between the South American and the Middle East nations and a second straight victory for new Brazil coach Mano Menezes. Barcelona's Dani Alves scored the first goal with a free-kick after 14 minutes before AC Milan's Alexandre Pato made it 2-0 on 69 minutes. Ramires had been replaced two minutes before that goal by Tottenham's Sandro. Villarreal striker Nilmar came on for Robinho and the same time and went on to complete the scoring. Brazil next play Ukraine at Derby's Pride Park on Monday. Gael Kakuta played the first 56 minutes of France Under 20s' 3-3 draw against Portugal on Thursday. France were winning 2-1 at the time of the change. It was Kakuta's first cap at this level. The rest of Chelsea's senior internationals called up this week are on duty tonight (Friday). --------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2179262,00.html INTERNATIONALS: FOUR VICTORIES AND A DEFEAT Posted on: Fri 08 Oct 2010 Yury Zhirkov was involved in the most eventful game of the night among the Chelsea players in action. Russia leave Dublin with three away points in what is a tight Euro 2010 qualification group so far following a 3-2 win over Republic of Ireland. The Russians went in at the interval with a 2-0 lead following a half they dominated and then made it 3-0 five minutes after the restart with a deflected goal, before the Irish launched a fight back. Robbie Keane convinced the ref to award what looked a soft penalty when the chasing Zhirkov, who was playing left back, was adjudged to have made contact. Ireland pulled back a second goal with 12 minutes remaining and then Zhirkov survived another penalty shout against him before he did very well to set up a guilt-edged chance in stoppage time, but it was missed badly by substitute Pavel Pogrebniak. A Petr Cech clean sheet at home to Scotland helped put Czech Republic's campaign back on track following defeat in their opening game. The Chelsea keeper only had one shot to deal with all game but watched on for 69 minutes before his side scored the only goal of the game. The night went less well for Branislav Ivanovic who was part of a Serbia team that went 1-0 up at home to Estonia on the hour through Birmingham's Nikola Zigic, but then let in three goals to crash to defeat in the first game under new coach Vladimir Petrovic. Serbia have just four points from their first three games. Friday evening also saw the first leg of play-offs to reach the European Under 21 Championship Finals next summer. England take a one-goal advantage to Romania for the second leg following a 2-1 win at Carrow Road in which four Chelsea players featured. Ryan Bertrand and captain Michael Mancienne started but Daniel Sturridge was on the bench as Stuart Pearce opted for a lone striker in the shape of Manchester United's Danny Welbeck. England took a second-half lead but a Romania cross deflected off the legs of left-back Bertrand for an own goal, the first goal the Under-21s had conceded this season. However two minutes after coming on and with less that 10 to play, Sturridge headed a corner back into the danger area and Man United centre-back Chris Smalling restored the lead. Jack Cork came on close to the end. Fabio Borini remained on the bench as Italy Under 21s, coached by Pierluigi Casiraghi, won their first leg 2-0 at home to Belarus. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2179925,00.html INTERNATIONALS: MALOUDA IN PARIS LATE SHOW Posted on: Sat 09 Oct 2010 Florent Malouda was part of a France side that escaped another night of international misery thanks to two late goals. Laurent Blanc's side had began their Euro 2012 qualification programme with a home defeat by Belarus last month and on Saturday night were drawing 0-0 with Romania in Paris with seven minutes left on the clock. However a goal from Loic Remy, who played against Chelsea for Marseille recently, and then a stoppage time second from Yoann Gourcuff (both players on as subs) secured a 2-0 win that puts the French top of their group after three games. Malouda had fired a shot into the side-netting in the first half. Jeffrey Bruma and Netherlands Under 21s have it all to do to make next summer's European Championship finals after a 3-1 home defeat by Ukraine in the first leg of their play-off. The Dutch, near impeccable in the group stage after which all group winners went into the play-off round, were two down within seven minutes, both goals coming after Bruma had conceded free kicks although the second was mostly due to a big error by Newcastle keeper Tim Krul. They went further behind with 17 minutes to go from the penalty spot but pulled one back on 79 minutes to increase hope for Tuesday's second leg in Kiev. A set of first-stage qualifying tournaments for the European Championships at Under 19 level are now underway. Josh McEachran opened the scoring for England in a 6-1 win over Albania in Belgium but had to be substituted at half-time. Aziz Deen-Conteh remained on the bench. A win over Cyprus on Sunday will put England through to the next stage. Chelsea youth team midfielder Anton Rodgers made his debut for Republic of Ireland Under 19s in a 5-0 win over Luxembourg in Bulgaria, playing 80 minutes. Ireland then qualified for the next stage with a 2-1 win on Saturday over Bulgaria although Rodgers only played the first half. -- Carefree, wherever we may be We are the famous CFC! -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 93.37.154.94
