Ramires played a key role in Chelsea reaching the Champions League final after scoring in the semi-final second leg against Barcelona, but he sat out the shoot-out success over Bayern Munich through suspension. The Brazil international was one of the Blues' most impressive performers throughout a turbulent campaign and he is hoping for continued progress at Stamford Bridge. "I now have to keep playing well, expectations will be much higher from now on," the 25-year-old told Sportv. "God willing, I want to win the Champions League again and win important awards. I'll keep working hard to achievethat." Ramires' contribution to Chelsea's success was recognised when he was voted the club's Player of the Year by his team-mates and he was pleased to win the award. He added: "That made me very happy. It was hard to guess who would win it because it's the team-mates that vote.
