And although the Lakers are coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history, the organization does have a winning tradition as well as a history of attracting top players to their market. As of Monday, a scenario emerged involving Anthony possibly joining LeBron James in Miami. For that to happen, Chris Bosh would first have to sign with the Houston Rockets thus creating additional cap space for the Heat to sign LeBron and Anthony as well as Dwyane Wade. It is also being reported that James is seriously considering a return to Cleveland although it appears that Miami is still the favorite to re-sign the NBA's top player. Anthony has given no indication as to when he will decide his future. Throughout last season, Anthony repeatedly said that he enjoyed playing and living in New York and that it would be hard for him to leave. He also suggested that he would consider taking less money to which Jackson repeatedly challenged Anthony, publicly, to stay true to his word. How that was received by Anthony is unclear.
