[問題] 求助 讀不懂這段文字

大家好 我是完全不懂板球的人
工作上 要翻譯一些類似歷史笑話的東西
提到了1899年一次宿舍聯賽中
Arthur Edward Jeune Collins獨得629分的事
但我實在是看不懂
他說
collins, who carried his bat in his team's total of 836 all out,
was droopped seven times - on 80, 100, 140, 400, 556, 605 and 619.
The scorer described his final tally thus: '628- plus or minus 20,
shall we way.'
Collins also took 11 wickets for 63 runs in the match,
which Clarke's House won by the not inconsiderable margin
of an innings and 688 runs.
請問有人能告訴我這段話講什麼嗎？
雖然查了術語，但完全不懂球賽進行方式，還有drop我完全不懂
實在是不太能理解……希望能求助各位…
