from another former player, Domingos Paciencia.

Uniao de Leiria player Hugo Cunha, 28, died Saturday morning during a kickabout
with friends in the town of Montemor-o-Novo. Heart trouble is suspected. The
midfielder played for Barreirense, Campomaiorense and Vitoria de Guimaraes
before moving to Leiria.

Sporting have sold Nigerian defender Enakarhire to Dynamo Moscow for six
million euros plus midfidler Luis Loureiro, who only recently signed for the
Russian club but wants to return to Portugal.
Andreii Karyaka of Russian club Krylia Sovetov Samara will undergo medical
tests at the Luz next week prior to signing a four-year contract with champions
Benfica.
Taca de Portugal winners Vitoria de Setubal have signed Mali international
midfielder Mamadou Diakite, 20, from French club Metz.
Former Benfica and Belenenses midfielder Anders Andersson, 31, has signed a
three-and-a-half-year deal with Swedish champions Malmo.
Estrela da Amadora, newly promoted to the SuperLiga, have borrowed two players
from Benfica: defender Amoreirinha and forward Manu. Also signed are midfielder
Emerson from Maia and forward Anselmo, for four seasons, from Tourizense.
Pacos de Ferreira, also newly promoted, have signed goalkeeper Pecanha from
Brazilian club Sao Raimundo.

Brazilian central defender Hugo Alcantara, one of the heroes of Vitoria de
Setubal's cup-winning team last season, has signed for Academica on a
three-year deal.
