◎ Portugal has maintained its sixth place in the UEFA rankings, behind Spain,
England, Italy, France and Germany. The position means that Portugal will
continue to have two clubs qualifying directly for the Champions League in
2006/07, with one other club having to get through the preliminary round.
Three clubs will qualify for the UEFA Cup.
◎ Hugo Cunha, the Uniao de Leiria midfielder who died Saturday while playing
a game of football with friends, will be buried Tuesday. The Portuguese
Players' Union is to arrange a benefit match at the stadium of Barreirense
in the coming week (the player was from Barreiro, on the other side of the
River Tagus to Lisbon). Proceeds will go to Cunha's family.

◎ Tickets for Benfica's July 17 friendly with English champions Chelsea go on
sale on 30 June, initially to associate members of the club (socios).
Prices vary between 15 and 50 euros.
◎ Belenenses will meet Monaco in France on 20 July (19.00) in the Jean
d'Anglet stadium.
還有每年由Figo基金會主辦的All-Stars比賽
◎ Both FC Porto and Benfica have said that their players will not take part
in the All-Stars game to be played in the Algarve on 2 July. The game, an
annual affair, is organised by and contributes to the Figo Foundation.

◎ Del Bosque, Bobby Robson and Carlos Queiroz will be three of the four
coaches in charge of the teams in the All-Star Game, to be played at the
Algarve Stadium Saturday at 20.45. Some of the stars expected to be on show
are Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo (Real Madrid), Rui Costa (AC Milan), Jermain
Defoe (Tottenham), Alexi Lalas, Ricardo, Joao Moutinho, Polga, Douala and
Manoel (Sporting), Hugo Viana, Pennant and Melchiot (Birmingham City),
Vidigal and De Sanctis (Udinese), as well as Luis Figo, who is promoting
the event.
