先不管金塊為什麼會簽下他，大概是有後續交易吧？
1.公牛已經沒有任何薪資空間或更好的例外條款可以簽他了，公牛把本季唯一有競爭
力的MMLE(稅後中產階級例外條款)，拿去補強Dunleavy，金塊用來簽下Nate的雙年
百萬條款，大概可以讓Nate兩年拿400多萬，比起公牛可以開的非鳥條款大概兩年頂
多300萬，而且Nate在金塊第2年的合約還是player option。
2.至於為何公牛要拿MMLE簽Dunleavy而不是Nate？
Rose+Kirk+Teague/Deng+Butler+Dunleavy+Snell
vs.
Rose+Kirk+Nate+Teague/Deng+Butler+Snell
你拿MMLE簽Nate只會讓PG位置大爆炸，無法讓本季在summer league有明顯成長的
Teague有上場時間，還要讓Deng+Butler之後只有最低薪球員或新秀Snell可以替補
，這是整體團隊隊形的考量，更不用說Dunleavy拿非常佛心的合約加入公牛了。
