end run比較好的定義應該是：
the ball carrier try to advance by running around the end of
opponent's defense line
所以是指試圖繞過防守方的陣線「尾端」而前進，
下面這個football 101網頁有順便介紹left right tackle防守球員
就是用來預防這種end run的進攻
