感謝版友翻譯，以下增補一些個人認為較重要的資料給太陽版友參考。 1.事實上整個教練團組成與Porter時期雷同除John Shumate（球探轉助教）外都是Porter時期就在的人，但為什麼效果差這麼多？外電此話道盡一切： Gentry has empowered the assistants more than Terry Porter did last season. 也就是Gentry更信任助教，給予更多的發揮空間與權限，大家只有一個共同信念－讓太陽更好！但Porter也為太陽發掘了Amundson這勁量小子，我認為Porter的強調防守的觀念沒錯，可是與球員的溝通能力不佳導致許多誤會。還有太陽當時還有歐鯊在陣，其與Nash的不相容不能全部算在Porter頭上。 2.D'antoni 與 Thibodeau 坦白說這老新聞了，但我認為還有很多版友不知道這消息，剛好最近Gentry鋒頭很健，教練的執教問題又浮上台面。你知道太陽隊曾經想要延攬Thibodeau擔任太陽的防守助教嗎？在Coro的專欄中有這一段話： Remember when Suns General Manager Steve Kerr wanted to bring Tom Thibodeau aboard as an assistant to help the defense in 2007? We knew he was a good defensive coach from his Houston days but weren't sure the second-guessing on D'Antoni passing him up for Jay Humphries was entirely just when adding Kevin Garnett so obviously improved Boston's defense. Well, the Celtics don't have KG now and that defense was stifling in Game 7 against Chicago.
