timely double-double to support Samad Nikkah Bahrami’s usual scoring spree
– combined with rival mainstay Jackson Vroman’s ejection – helped FIBA
Asia champions Iran rally and score a psychologically important 79-71 win
over fellow WABA team Lebanon on the fourth day of the 32nd William Jones
Cup on Saturday.
卡杜斯特適時以雙十支援了巴哈拉米「稀鬆平常」的火力, 還讓對手主力佛羅曼退場,
鼓舞了亞錦冠軍伊朗並以79-71擊倒同屬WABA的黎巴嫩, 贏得了一場心理上很重要的勝
利。

卡杜斯特目光放在世錦賽, 想爭取總教練調度上的永久地位。這場比賽他得了20分, 抓
下14個籃板。
Matic must surely be pleased with the 210-cm center’s showing thus far,
especially in the absence of Hamed Haddadi who is yet away playing for the
Memphis Grizzlies’ Vegas Summer League team.

Samad had another game-high performance with his 30 points.

The teams were on even keel throughout till Lebanon suffered a setback to
their fortunes when Jackson Vroman committed his fifth personal foul with
about four minutes left in the clock. Vroman had led the Lebanese charge
till then scoring 14 points and collecting half as many rebounds.
整場比賽下來兩隊都打得難分難解, 直到佛羅曼第四節最後剩四分鐘時的五犯, 讓他們
體驗到命運的挫敗。佛羅曼一直帶領黎巴嫩的攻勢, 最後得到14分, 抓下7個籃板球。
Riding on Vroman’s ouster Iran outscored Lebanon 26-7 in the final quarter
to record the win.

Rony Fahed with 10 points was the other notable scorer for Lebanon.

FIBA World Championship to be played in Turkey from Aug 28-Sept 12, 2010.

Japan and Chinese Taipei who too are in preparation mould for the 3rd FIBA
Asia Stankovic Cup fought an entertaining battle before the former
prevailed 94-85.
日本和台灣也為了史坦克維奇盃備戰。他們的比賽精彩而具趣味, 最後日本以94-85獲
勝。
Takuya Kawamura, as expected, was Japan’s leading scorer with 25 points.
Yuta Tabuse had a more all-round show with 15 points, nine rebounds, six
assists and four steals.
川村卓也不意外, 得到日本最高的25分。田臥勇太則表現得更加全面, 15分, 9籃板, 6
助攻, 四抄截。
