Since a cable network is paid based on the number of subscribers, it wants to be on the tier that is in the most homes. It's simple math. And the more homes, the higher the potential viewership. The more viewers, the higher the rates the networks can charge for commercials. There are almost eight million cable homes in Texas, with Time Warner leading the pack in Dallas and Austin. Comcast is king in Houston. The University of Texas would like to be on the same tier as Fox Sports Southwest, which was in 6.5 million homes in 2009. To ensure it gets wide distribution, Texas could follow the approach embraced by baseball's MLB Network, which came fast out of the box in 2009 with almost 50 million subscribers. 不過我想文章的意思是說 cable第四台商會把longhorn network 放在跟FSN Southwest 同一個tier 也就是只要收看的到FSN的家庭就會有Longhorn Network 所以用FSN目前的訂戶來看當作運算的依據因為cable TV是不能選單獨哪台你要或是你不要你只能選哪個deal你要或是你不要第四台商會把Longhorn Network 跟FSN 放在同一個deal 裡所以............用FSN 來算應該是滿準的
