Roma and Fiorentina will be looking for wins for very different reasons at
the Stadio Olimpico. The Viola’s victory over Milan has taken them to new
heights as they have caught the Rossoneri in second place and are now just
five points off top side Juventus. They will be hoping for a good win here to
cement themselves as real Scudetto contenders, especially with a League and
Cup double-header with Juve just around the corner.

the Giallorossi would set them up perfectly to close the gap when La Vecchia
Signora come to Florence next week.

Roma have continued to underachieve and their 4-1 mauling at the hands of
Juventus showed just how far they still have to go before they are back in
contention with the Serie A big boys. While they are only two points away
from UEFA Cup qualification, they will need a big improvement if they are to
challenge for the Champions League qualification and Scudetto glory that
their fans so desperately desire.

answer they need if Fiorentina show any signs of complacency after their
recent success - but it won’t be easy without the injured Christian Chivu
and suspended Simone Perrotta.
